Former NFL Player is the Co-Owner of Inception Sports Performance

RJ Cobbs thought that everything was over for him the day that he got hurt while playing for the NFL.

Instead of giving up on his dreams, he found a way to still be involved in the game, and everyday motivates people to pursue their dreams.

The former NFL player for the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants spends his days at the training facility of Inception: Athletic Excellence Center, where he is able to pass down the knowledge that he acquired throughout his life and football career.

Cobbs uses the techniques and athletic training that he acquired over the years to train boys and girls to succeed in their goals, says Cobbs.

“We do athletic training where we are just giving back the knowledge that we experienced throughout our lives”, says Cobbs.

Cobbs is very passionate about what he does and truly motivates his clients.

“The reason I wake up every morning to go to work is because my heart and the passion that I have for the game”, says Cobb.

Kids from all around North Jersey come to the facility to train on a daily basis at Inception with a variety of goals, and we want to make them great, says Cobbs.

“I like training with coach RJ because he is preparing me for the upcoming season with the [Morris Hills] Scarlet Knights, while also working on my speed and agility to improve my skills as a linebacker”, says Ray, a client at Inception.

As a football specialist Cobbs is able to help young players to achieve their goals in the sport.

“Coach RJ helps with me to improve as a quarterback with my mechanics and throwing, and he is also good with speed and agility”, says Luke, who has been training with Cobbs for a while now.

On top of teaching these children techniques that will hopefully help them succeed in the athletic part of their lives, Cobbs wants to make sure they thrive in every aspect of their lives, he says.

“I’m teaching life lessons”, says Cobbs.

“RJ is like a second father to me. He helps me train with my techniques while making me a better, strong player. There are no words to describe how good he is”, says JD, a client at the facility.

The passion that Cobbs has for football comes from a long time ago. Cobbs has been involved with football his whole life and knew in his heart that he was going to make it to the NFL, he says.

Mike Brady, a former childhood teammate who played football with Cobbs for many years describes him as a very engaging personality.

“We all knew from the time we were six years old that RJ was a special player. Besides his clear athletic talent, RJ was always a natural leader that kept the team motivated” says Brady.

Cobbs graduated with a BA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he was a standout football player at running back, wide receiver and defensive back.

Plainsboro welcomes a new SuperFresh catered towards the town’s Asian community

PLAINSBORO, N.J. – Plainsboro residents are welcomed this month to the return of the supermarket SuperFresh, some however are not happy with the changes of food selection.

“I was disappointed that SuperFresh is now more of a specialty store carrying Asian products, instead of a supermarket like McCaffrey’s, considering there already is the Asian Food Market in the Plainsboro Plaza only two minutes away from SuperFresh,” said Plainsboro resident Robert Gregory.

The new SuperFresh on 10 Schalks Crossing Road is a mix of cultures, much like the town itself, while it does lean more Asian with the food products available, there is a deli with all the standard meats and cheeses

The original SuperFresh on 10 Schalks Crossing Road was very profitable and enjoyed by the residents in town, but closed due to the company SuperFresh losing money and forced the closure of the Plainsboro SuperFresh.

“SuperFresh was very convenient to be right in the middle of town, while the prices were not the best it was easier to pick up groceries after events with the kids, rather than go to West Windsor or Route One for groceries,” said Plainsboro resident Rebecca Taglifero.

Some people are just happy to have a supermarket back in town because the original SuperFresh closed back in January of 2014.

“Although it is not the same it is still a supermarket and place to pick up cheap milk and eggs, which we go through a lot. I will probably end up coming here more over time,” said Taglifero.

There have not been all positive receptions towards SuperFresh’s return.

“I don’t see why we need another Asian food market in the area, we already have one. And the prices are too high, I will stick to ShopRite,” said Jake Costas.

The demographic over the past twenty years in Plainsboro has changed and become more of an Asian community so the change seems natural. There is an Indian owned bank right next to SuperFresh along with several Asian restaurants in the plaza and in town.

“I was expecting a typical American supermarket, but I was surprised with the food available and the mix of Asian products, especially the deserts. I will however stick to the Asian Food Market, mostly out of brand loyalty,” said Simran Deshpande.

Some have made complaints about how the service was lacking in the first few weeks of the SuperFresh being open.

“It seems like they were not ready to open yet and many of the staff are teenagers who do not know where anything is and there are boxes everywhere,” said Drew King.
